SRC Inuaguration was a crap

SRC REALLY STARTS ON A WRONG FOOT. You can call me names but I don’t have to remain silent when things do not go well. I happen to be a leader and I don’t criticize other structures of leadership because I know that ‘Inxeba lendoda alihlekwa’ . On Friday we went to the SRC Inuaguration in Howard College. Let me tell you the proceedings step by step.

It was announced, through GroupWise that the event will start at 6h00. That meant we had to leave PMB at 4h00. Let me tell you what happened. There was only one bus for people who can fit in three buses. There was hullabaloo in the main gate as people were trying to squash into one bus. These guys were up and down claiming to be organising the buses for us. The students did not stop demanding the explanation for the inconvenience. They said Freda (SU administrator) did not give the order number to the bus operator. I knew they were lying. They spoke of getting the taxis. It took another hour to secure those taxis. If it wasn’t for Sammy Mashite we wouldn’t have left. That guy organised people and made sure that everyone was seated and the bus left(BUT WHERE WERE THE MEMBERS OF THE NEW SRC THEMSELVES ?). It was around 8:30 when the bus left and we were already late. We reached Durban at 10:00 due to traffic and for the fact that we were travelling by bus. When we arrived there everything was over and many people had left. That meant our SCR is not inaugurated except the president who was nowhere to be seen. I think he left PMB early, which leaves me with questions. Where is team spirit, how can you leave your subordinates behind and rush to Durban leaving things dishevelled behind. The other person I did not see is Ali. If they start on this note can we have confidence on them?( Take part in the poll on this page) We stayed there for one hour and we came back- what a waste of time.

However we need to support them. They were elected by us.( WE WILL MAKE SURE WE GET ONE MEMBER OF THE SRC TO COMMENT, BUT BE THAT AS IT MAY. THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES IN THIS CASE.
